Elba promotes Puerto Rican and Latin American cultural competency, identity, and joy through the use of songs, games, and songwriting techniques.
Elba, an educator, singer, and songwriter, fosters cultural, racial, and linguistic competence through music, games, and teaching. With 27 years in K-8 education, she specializes in biliteracy, history, transformative SEL, and culturally responsive practices, integrating arts into learning. As a H.O.T. school educator, she initiated projects in songwriting and music production. Her "Cantando y Jugando" music program promotes bilingualism and cultural appreciation.
