Heidi is a seasoned circus and movement artist with over two decades of experience performing and teaching as Matica Circus. She has traveled internationally, focusing on the synthesis of creativity and physicality through circus. She created Whole Body Math, a program for preK-2nd grade that integrates movement with learning, making math tangible and engaging. Heidi also helps broaden teachers' ability to integrate kinesthetic learning. She is an aerialist, yogi, stilt walker and studio owner.
The 1st Grade team would like to express our gratitude to Heidi for coming to Sanchez school and teaching our students math through movement. Our students were highly interested in the concepts that were taught to them. As teachers, we are excited to share these ideas in the future with our classes. We personally would never have thought about dancing with half of our bodies. It was so much fun to have Heidi be a part of our classroom!
