Description
Ballerina Storytime is a fun and interactive workshop where students will meet professional ballerinas, learn the story of a specific classical ballet/mainstage production, watch an excerpt from the performance, and participate in a short movement class! 2-3 professional ballet dancers will come in beautiful costumes to tell the story of the ballet, do a short performance, and teach some ballet steps. This will be followed by a Q&A and opportunity to meet the dancers. This is a wonderful way to introduce children to the magic and storytelling that is ballet.

• Set Up: 10 minutes
• Program Space: We need an open-space for the dancers to perform & the students to participate as well. This could be a classroom if there is an open space (desks/tables can be moved out of the way to create more space) or a gymnasium/assembly room.
• Dressing Room: The dancers will need a dressing room or access to a bathroom to get into costume.
