Audiences learn history, Arabic script, and pronunciation while clapping along to rhythms from across the Arab world. Arcari Flora offers nature-based programs that foster mindfulness, stewardship, and creativity. Through sensory engagement and storytelling, participants connect with nature and well-being. Children join Lou Del Bianco on stage to act out folktales from many cultures, exploring diversity, equity, and inclusion through interactive storytelling and theater. Explore social justice through Dr. King's Six Principles of Nonviolence and create art and writing inspired by students' personal reflections and hopes for change. Anne Pasquale's Living History Programs A lively re-enactment of the Old West, featuring songs, tales, sing-alongs, and square dances that bring the legendary Calamity Jane to life, perfect for Westward Expansion studies. This program blends singing, dancing, and social interaction to promote Latin American and Puerto Rican culture. Activities like "Hola, ¿Cómo está?" and "Chequi Morena" engage students, fostering language acquisition and immersion in vibrant traditions. Dance China NY/New York Chinese Cultural Center This program introduces Chinese culture through language, history, and geography. Dance, music, costumes, props, and narration highlight customs and life patterns. Includes an interactive demonstration segment. Sounds of April & Randall Led by jazz duo Sounds of A&R, this hands-on songwriting workshop guides students through music creation with creativity, skill, and joy. Engage students with songs and discussions about friendship, respect, and fitting in, while developing strategies for building a safe, respectful school community. A culturally enriching storytelling experience featuring diverse tales from around the world, enhanced with unique voices and sound effects to teach about cultural diversity. Through performance, workshop, or residency, students experience Brazil's culture through dance styles like Samba, Afoxé, and Forró- learning geography, language, and tradition. This program is a journey into the world of Native American Stories. The oral history, natural observations, and culture of the First Americans is shared by Leland Faulkner, a member of the Bad River Band of Chippewa. Students simulate pollution's impact on sea life with art-making, then explore solutions like recycling and cleanup in this powerful environmental workshop. Students explore Dr. King's Six Principles of Nonviolence through collaborative movement and visual arts. Students create original characters and stories through arts-integrated writing lessons.
