Teaching Artist Legacy Statement
As a movement and circus artist, I am passionate about integrating kinesthetic learning into academics. Over a decade ago, I created Whole Body Math for preK-2nd grade to get kids moving, crossing the midline, and creatively solving math and movement challenges. I champion the power of movement for all learners, especially those who struggle with sitting still. I've developed props like fraction mats, addition beach balls, and large dice to help kids visualize math concepts and embody answers through activities like graphing jumps. My mission is to make learning joyful and dynamic, empowering students through fitness and freedom of movement.
