Teaching Artist Legacy Statement
Sharing your inner light is one of the most important lessons a child can learn; being a "lighthouse keeper". My program, The Isle of Skoo, from Ben's Lighthouse, invites students to be lighthouse keepers and enter an interactive world to learn about feelings and how to handle them in a healthy way. We provide a group of professional teaching artists who use social/emotional skills to explore emotions by identifying with the puppet characters through song, movement and arts on The Isle of Skoo. Students will learn to shine their light and be a beacon of kindness in the world.

Testimonials
- Parent, The Isle of Skoo Summer Camp 2023, Newton, CT
"Throughout the years, Francine has offered several interactive musical and theatrical programs to children at the library. In my 32 years as a children's librarian, I have worked with many performers, and I can honestly say that Francine ranks among the very best. She is a talented singer, song-writer and actress but most importantly a gifted teacher. I highly recommend the programs offered by Francine and the staff of Ben's Lighthouse."
