Teaching Artist Legacy Statement

As a dance teaching artist I strive to bring out the artistry in all students. Every child is a dancer, and only needs to be given the opportunity and encouragement to make dance. I believe dance has both intrinsic and instrumental value, and can benefit everyone who participates for years to come.

Testimonials

"My students were eager to go to dance class each day. I noticed that the dance class helped my students with teamwork...I also noticed that students' creativity skyrocketed after being in the dance class. Students were coming up with all different ways to complete the challenges instead of trying to copy others."
- Becca Bremer, 3rd Grade Teacher, Brass City Charter School, Waterbury, CT

"I will take confidence, connection and motion with me from the workshop because it helped me develop a lot of trust in myself and look at things differently."
- Suzzanah, 6th Grade at Truman School, New Haven, CT

Description
