"Working with SYREN was like having another invested academic colleague in the room. When we shared that we were embarking on a physics and dance unit with our 11th grade, they did everything imaginable to make sure that their visits to us corresponded with and enhanced what we were doing in our classrooms. We shared lesson plans and unit expectations with them, and they effortlessly wove them into their lecture/demonstration, asking students questions and showing movement phrases that highlighted what we had done in class. Their performance of "Red and Blue, Bitter and Sweet" for the entire high school was a highlight of the year. The students were riveted, nearly motionless while they watched, and it generated conversations and class questions for weeks afterwards. It was a joy working in partnership with SYREN, and because of our collaboration, there are students who are hoping to extend their study of physics and dance into their senior year. There could be no better measure of interdisciplinary success than that!"
