Teaching Artist Legacy Statement
Leland is a tribal member of the Bad River Band of Chippewa but has lived and traveled all over the world. He was born in Afghanistan, lived in Iran, and Tanzania and currently resides in Maine, USA. He has toured to Japan, Russia, and China. He holds a degree in Motion Picture Studies, and is a master mime artist, actor, magician, film maker and storyteller. He has a wide range of experience and uses his understanding of world culture to bring hearts closer together.
