Description
From time immemorial, Celtic people have shared their way with words and their powerful music. In this program, stories from Ireland and Scotland are told with a unique flair and insight. Adults and children will thrill to haunting tales of fairies, laugh at the antics of leprechauns, and be awed by true stories of the perseverance of Celtic people. The stories are interspersed with the magic of the harp in heartfelt ballads, lively dance tunes, O'Carolan's great music, contemporary Irish songs, and beloved traditional tunes.
Objectives
The audience will gain an appreciation of the music, history, and folkloric traditions of the Celtic people and how they apply to all people. The audience will also gain an understanding of the harp and how it produces its varied sounds.

Technical Specifications
• Set Up: 90 minutes
• Break: 15 minimum- 45 maximum
• Strike: 45 minutes
• Program Space: Enough room in front for harp, 2 speakers on chairs, smartboard and 2 performers. Students can be arranged in the audience close enough that a student can be called to participate, but far enough away that the performers can walk back and forth.
• Electricity/Wi-Fi: A power source close by. Wi-Fi for Smartboard or if not available, we can send the PowerPoint/slide presentation ahead of time and it can be downloaded onto your device. A technical professional to answer Smartboard setup questions
• Audiovisual/Tech: A smart board or other projection device
• Tables/Chairs: 1 table (folding table or card sized) 4 chairs (can be folding chairs)
• Dressing Room: We usually arrive and leave in costume. However, a lavatory or lockable room with a mirror would be helpful.

• Mobility/Location Needs: Help from 2 strong individuals to carry the harp and sound equipment if a flight of stairs is involved
