Description

Parents' Choice Award-winning storyteller Motoko shares humorous and wise tales from Japan, China, and Korea, enlivened with traditional songs, lyrical movement, origami, and lots of audience participation.

Objectives

-Students gain enhanced understanding of Asian cultures, especially Japan.
-Students acquire appreciation for folktales and the art of oral storytelling as a vehicle for teaching morals and lessons.
-Students learn empathy by identifying with the story characters, and reflect on their own life experiences.
