Testimonial
"Ms. Tere Luna gave my students a wonderful performance that engaged them in enjoyable, culturally relevant activities. My students learned about Mexico and were able to learn simple dance steps. The activities helped my students focus. The workshop supported very well the unit I had prepared."

Description
Ms. Luna performs a Mexican folkloric dance from a particular region of Mexico with appropriate music and wearing the colorful traditional attire of that region. Performances can be specific to Mexican celebrations or holidays in a particular month--i.e. Day of the Dead (October or November), Cinco de Mayo (May), and Mexican Independence Day (September). Ms. Luna explains the cultural and historical context of the music and dance style. Students are asked to participate, doing simple steps so they can follow the choreography.
