Testimonial

"Thank you so much for the superb program you presented at the Riverdale Public School . The students and faculty were captivated by your charismatic storytelling through acting, music and imagery. We feel very fortunate to have had your program presented to our students."

Diane Battersby - Music Teacher and Cultural Arts Coordinator, Riverdale Public School

Description

Inspired by her own grandmother's tales, Anne created a program based on the stories of America's female immigrants from many cultures. Anne invites you to join her online, accompanied by the very talented musician/actor Keith Herron, as she dons the personas, sings the songs, tells the stories of many unsung heroines from every point of Liberty's crown, and explores the cultural diversity and common heritage that makes us all one.

Objectives

1. To instill pride and curiosity in one's own and other Americans' cultural and ancestral backgrounds.
2. To emphasize the shared American immigrant experience and encourage tolerance.
3. To discuss women as powerful historical figures and bring to light several American heroines.
