Description
Wearing attire reflective of any given Mexican celebration or holiday, Ms. Luna explains the cultural context of the celebration and performs a Mexican folkloric dance. Students learn simple choreography. Teacher can choose from:
March - President Juarez Day
April - Children's Day
May - Cinco De Mayo
September - Mexican Independence Day
October - Hispanic Heritage Day
November - Day of the Dead ("Dia de los Muertos")

Students learn about this Mexican celebration through songs and dances and by participating in "the ofrenda" (or offering to deceased loved ones) and appreciating related songs.
