"It was so incredible because I learned so much about myself... This Pilobolus experience gave me the confidence to do things I thought I couldn't. I realized that when I put everything I had into it, I could do it!" Alex Ball, Fifth Grade participant, Wintergreen Interdistrict Magnet School
Description
Movin’ is Pilobolus’s multi-day creative movement residency that invites students to explore the essential skills of creativity, collaboration, and communication through physically engaging, imaginative group work.
Over the course of the residency, students immerse themselves in Pilobolus’s unique methods of improvisation and dance-making. With guidance from professional Teaching Artists, students learn to use movement as a tool for self-expression, build trust through teamwork, and strengthen communication—both verbal and nonverbal. Each day adds a new layer of exploration and skill-building, culminating in a student-driven showcase that celebrates creative risk-taking and collective effort.
Residencies are designed as 3 or 5 day experiences, but we can customize the length of the residency for your school.
