Description
OompaPossum Puppets is excited to offer expert consultation sessions for teachers and clinical providers. Topics may include: Use of Puppetry in the Classroom or Clinic, Construction of a Puppet Theater & Puppets for the Classroom or Clinic, and Puppetry Considerations for Persons with Special Needs. With over 20 years of experience as a clinical and school based occupational therapist in mental health and pediatrics, Kimberly has additional training in Social Emotional Learning and Trauma Informed Practices. Kimberly has a dual Masters in Dramatic Arts in Puppetry and Public Health and proudly serves on the Puppetry in Education and Therapy Committee for the Puppeteers of America. Her work has been internationally recognized by UNIMA.
Objectives
Participants will develop a greater understanding of the application of puppetry as a vital tool in educational and therapeutic settings.
