Description

"Washington, Lincoln, and Ludington" is an inspiring Presidents' Day celebration that even the youngest audience member can enjoy. Students:
experience the childhood struggles and triumphs of Presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, and ride along with patriot Sybil Ludington (the female Paul Revere)
-learn about George Washington's coat, Abraham Lincoln's book, and Sybil Ludington's horse
-interact with Washington and Lincoln as puppets. After the show students can make their own puppets

Objectives

Students will celebrate Presidents' Day. By experiencing the childhood struggles of great historical figures, students can identify with them and with their character development in the areas of honesty, fairness, trustworthiness, and citizenship.

• Set Up: 30-45 minutes
• Break: 15 minutes
• Strike: 30 minutes

• Electricity/Wi-Fi: 1. Electrical source for Smart Board/projection device. 2. Photos can be accessed online by Wi-Fi or I can send the program to the customer in advance so that they can download it onto their Smart Board/projection device.
• Audiovisual/Tech: A smart board or other projection device to display photos/PowerPoint (If not, I can bring hard copies of the photos.). A microphone for audiences larger than 50. Technical assistance to answer my setup questions.
• Tables/Chairs: A card table or standard sized table and chair
• Dressing Room: I usually arrive and leave in costume. However, if possible, access to a lavatory or lockable room with a mirror is appreciated.
