Description
Water. It is crucial for life on Earth, and it is everywhere. It is also the only substance on Earth that naturally has three forms: it can be a liquid, a solid, or a gas. Why is water so important for life? Author Doe Boyle will explore the water cycle, water itself, and the ways that human activity and ingenuity can preserve and protect essential water sources and supplies.
Objectives
This program will explore the ways that water has been and continues to be essential to life on Earth, from its earliest appearance on the planet 4.3 billion years ago to the present-day stressors that threaten water sources across the globe. With a focus on human resourcefulness and inventiveness and with applause for the importance of scientific exploration and experimentation, this program provides factual information that can help allay concerns and encourage responsible, accessible stewardship of local water sources.
