Testimonial

Having the opportunity to work with AFLCT has been truly beneficial; they've provided unique experiences that have positively impacted our students. Their professional artists are strong role-models who encouraged students to take risks, find their voices, and be confident young people. They assisted in the process of inspiring our students to discover their individual identities and be able to self-assuredly express and share their ideas and opinions.

Description

Everyone loves comic book stories, but did you know that anyone can make their own too? Educator and professional comic artist Matthew Loux will go over the fundamentals of comics making from start to finish while teaching students how to create their own characters and draw a "micro comic" based on their own ideas.

Objectives

-Learn the fundamentals of comic making and each stage of the process.
-Learn how to create an original character design using pencils and colored pencils.
-Learn how to make a folded mini-comic called a "micro zine" and draw their own micro comic.
