Testimonial
Having the opportunity to work with AFLCT has been truly beneficial; they've provided unique experiences that have positively impacted our students. Their professional artists are strong role-models who encouraged students to take risks, find their voices, and be confident young people. They assisted in the process of inspiring our students to discover their individual identities and be able to self-assuredly express and share their ideas and opinions.
Description
Award-winning poet and author, Darren Sardelli, brings poetry to life with his enthusiasm, excitement, and passion for writing. His relatable poems, light-hearted humor, and inspiring messages not only generate positivity, but also help his audience get in touch with their feelings and emotions. Students discover that writing can be a wonderful way to share thoughts, express feelings, and release built up energy (in creative and positive ways). They’ll learn how to create vivid images by painting pictures with their words and understand how powerful their imaginations can be. Throughout the assembly, Darren entertains students with his amusing and uplifting rhymes, creating a fun atmosphere for middle school and high school students. Participants will be motivated to read and write poetry, start an idea book, and think in a creative direction.
