Testimonial

"I attended his class entitled “Each One, Teach One” at Sea Tea Comedy Theater in Hartford. I retired four years ago as the Chief Financial Officer with no prior experience or training in the performing arts. I came to Rob’s class with only the expectation that I would try – at least once – to get on stage as a standup comedian. I have since written and published four books and been on-stage as an actor, improv performer, standup comedian, and personal storyteller."
-Jack Levine

Description

Workshop:

This one-time workshop or long term residency is an introduction to using vulnerability as a strength via stand up comedy. It will help you find your comedic voice; what is original and different and wonderful about your sense of humor by using mindfulness practices. The class Instills love and respect for comedy and its capacity to help us survive by showing us that we can face the truth – and laugh! Schools will have an option to have class share with just students or a public showcase.

Professional Development for Educators:

This standalone or multi-class workshop for educators and staff is built to help them express themselves creatively and safely. The goal of the workshop is to step out of their comfort zone by challenging themselves to think quickly by being aware of their emotions. By doing this it will help them develop trust, connection, and social awareness outside the professional persona they create while at work. The more that participate with or without fear, they will see and feel the power of vulnerability.
