Description
Actor and seasoned mime Cat Gasta brings a workshop to classrooms that focuses on vocabulary understanding, retention and expression in a group setting -starting with the ten definitions of the word ‘point’.
Curriculum based vocabulary is discussed through a word’s multiple definitions.
Charades is then introduced, rules explained and students team together to ‘act out’ curriculum based book titles, subjects and ideas. Without the use of spoken word, students discover the challenge and triumph of communication just with gestures, their own unique personalities and acting tools.
The workshop provides opportunities for expression and performing; building a strong sense of group think and collaboration.
