Teaching Artist Legacy Statement
I am certified as a "Master Teaching Artist". My 100% participatory music program is energetic. Inclusive of students with cognitive and/physical challenges, everyone is engaged in joyous music-making. Together, we launch launch songs that have delicious melodies and delectable beats. Interactive drumming enhances: self-esteem and confidence; empathy; compassion. It reinforces students' skills for teamwork, self-control, creativity, communication, and problem solving. They learn about values of paying attention and persistence.

Every student participates. Interactive-drumming elevates self-esteem, confidence, empathy, and compassion. Their skills for interpersonal relations and teamwork are enhanced. In addition to experiencing multiple successes, they take away practical and accessible skills for interpersonal relations, communication, and individual contribution. In the spirit of cooperation, the values of empathy and compassion are conveyed.
