Description
“Around the World” is an exciting and culturally responsive program combining storytelling, theater and music. Lou Del Bianco invites children to come on stage to help him act out stories from cultures that span the globe. Children discover when you read folktales, fairytales and fables, you learn about diversity, equity and inclusivity.
Objectives
1. Students will learn to perform the “Around the World” song.
2. Students will learn about folktales, fairytales and fables using call and response hand signals.
3. Students will participate in the dramatization of folktales, fairytales and fables
4. Students will review the lessons learned from these stories.
5. Students will learn that when you read folktales, fairytales and fables, you learn about the world and you learn about yourself
6. Students will learn about the celebration of diversity and inclusivity. Through our differences, we celebrate each other!
