I am writing to enthusiastically recommend Mr. Bob Bloom for school assemblies. Bob's humor and positive energy had all of my students engaged and thoroughly enjoying the experience.

All of the teachers agreed that this program was outstanding.

Description

Engaging for aural, visual, and kinesthetic learners, everybody participates with their hands on a curious cargo of colorful drums to launch legendary songs that have delectable melodies, upbeat beats, and positive lyrics in English, Spanish, and Yoruba.

DAY's activities are grounded in spoken word patterns that are mirrored orally by the students, then recreated on enticing drums.

DAY can be presented to cohorts room-to-room with students sitting crisscross applesauce in their customary spots.

DAY is formatted for grades prekindergarten to two.

With advance notice, family members and caregivers are welcome to participate.

Objectives

DRUMMING ABOUT YOU song-based activities convey to students values of:

Following directions; teamwork, equity, compassion, empathy, while building motor skills and their agility at language and phonemics, communication, creativity, and critical thinking.
