Teaching Artist Legacy Statement
I encourage self expression through painting and poetry. We tell stories, explore topics of social justice, environmental justice, personal history and internal reflection. Students learn the importance of preserving historical places in their communities. Reflection and sharing are encouraged developmental skills.

Description
This is an interactive lecture series using visual art and poetry created by Shanna to explain the process and importance of making your creativity tangible. It is about the importance of research, articulation, presentation, and using the creative process to get a better understanding of yourself. We will discuss how art is a contribution to our legacy and how to be intentional about what we share with the world.
