Teaching Artist Legacy Statement

As an Interdisciplinary Artist and Teaching Artist, I am passionate about art, "minking" (making + thinking), and teaching. For over two decades, I have trained and taught as a Master TA with the HOT Schools program, bringing visual art to the center of the curriculum. As an artist, I use analog and digital tools to tell stories about my female life. Visual storytelling is an ancient method of communicating ideas. As a practitioner of Multiple Intelligences Theory, I believe that arts integration is the key to expanding traditional teaching methods, allowing students to shine!
