This program is a journey into the world of Native American Stories. The oral history, natural observations, and culture of the First Americans is shared by Leland Faulkner, a member of the Bad River Band of Chippewa. Students play bucket drums and Latin percussion in this high-energy, fully participatory music workshop. With songs in Spanish, English, and Yoruba, they build creativity, teamwork, leadership, and confidence. Students, educators, and families join together in upbeat, hands-on drumming. This inclusive program builds musical skills, confidence, and connection through rhythm and movement. Students explore drums, shakers, puppets, and Toobaloos across four rotating pods. They experiment with sound, movement, and voice while sharing tools. This workshop helps participants discover their comedic voice through mindfulness, using vulnerability as strength. Students build SEL skills through theater games, movement, and play. The workshop fosters leadership, collaboration, and emotional awareness through joyful, reflective activities. Students create 60-second videos about their environment, using smartphones or tablets. The process includes shooting, editing, and sharing the videos, with a class-wide video project compilation. Eco printing places emphasis on environmentally friendly art practices using natural materials: plants, non toxic inks, and vegetable-based cleaners. A multi-week residency using custom Hoopla hoops to promote self-expression, self-image, physical literacy, and SEL through fun, movement-based instruction that supports personal and educational growth. This program engages students in skill-building, social-emotional learning, and physical literacy using handmade hoops. Students simulate pollution's impact on sea life with art-making, then explore solutions like recycling and cleanup in this powerful environmental workshop. Students explore Dr. King's Six Principles of Nonviolence through collaborative movement and visual arts. Students create original songs using beatboxing, storytelling, and live recording. A magical puppet show featuring seasonal fairies and a mischievous gnome, with handmade puppets and songs that engage young audiences. Students create original characters and stories through arts-integrated writing lessons. With drawing, theater, and guided prompts, students develop fiction writing skills in a joyful, supportive setting.
